Job Overview

Position Summary: As a Plumbing Technician Trainee, you will support experienced plumbers in various tasks and gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting Journeyman or Master Plumbers with daily operations.
  • Traveling to various job locations and coordinating with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate any delays to clients.
  • Being available for night or weekend shifts on a rotating basis to address emergency plumbing needs.
  • Ensuring the company vehicle is well-maintained, including regular refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and completing monthly vehicle inspections.
  • Keeping an adequate supply of tools, parts, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Understanding pricing structures and generating customer invoices on-site, including processing credit card payments electronically.
  • Documenting all installed plumbing equipment, including make, model, serial number, and taking necessary photographs.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance and providing recommendations for plumbing system improvements.
  • Participating in training sessions provided by the company.
  • Identifying potential opportunities for new systems, service agreements, and additional services.
  • Adhering to all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Staying informed about current Mechanical, Gas, and Plumbing Codes.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with industry standards and company practices.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools, ladders, and hand tools.
  • Basic typing skills.

Physical Requirements:

Physical Demands:
