We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Equipment Technician to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our operating room team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper preparation, maintenance, and sterilization of medical equipment used during diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and test diagnostic and therapeutic equipment prior to medical procedures
- Set up medical equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under supervision
- Prepare travel carts for bedside procedures and transport equipment to designated units
- Maintain par levels of supplies throughout the unit and replace oxygen cylinders as needed
- Process medical equipment and follow cleaning and transportation policies
- Document processing activities into appropriate logs and track department equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 0-1 years of relevant experience required
