Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics and Physics at The Texas A&M University System is seeking qualified applicants for a pool of Adjunct Faculty appointments in Physics. This is a part-time, temporary position that may involve teaching up to six semester credit hours online, holding office hours, and assisting students as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Physics courses as assigned by the department
  • Hold regular office hours for student consultation and support
  • Assist students with coursework and provide academic guidance
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Physics or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Physics
  • Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students and colleagues
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines

  • This is a temporary appointment, assigned on a semester-by-semester basis
