Physics Instructor

Laredo College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach science courses in the Department of Natural Sciences.

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position teaching science courses in the Department of Natural Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes.

• Teach assigned courses in physics, including lecture and laboratory sections.
• Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with departmental and college goals.
• Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students.
• Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to improve teaching and learning.
• Meet with students during office hours to provide support and guidance.
• Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in physics or a related field.
• Teaching experience in physics or a related field.
• Ability to develop and implement curriculum that aligns with departmental and college goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Master's degree in physics or a related field.
• Experience teaching at the community college level.
• Knowledge of educational technology and its application in the classroom.

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. The successful candidate will be required to teach on a semester-by-semester basis and will be expected to work a variable schedule.
