We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms and common areas are clean, comfortable, and inviting.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Maintain Guest Rooms: Clean, dust, wax, scrub, polish, and service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Restock and Replenish Supplies: Replace linens on beds, replenish guest room supplies, empty wastebaskets, and rearrange furnishings, drapes, and room accessories.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide necessary linen and amenities to guests in accordance with the guest room legend, and ensure that rooms are left in uniform arrangement as determined by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Report Incidents and Hazards: Report any damage, hazards, repairs, and strangers in assigned areas to the on-duty supervisor or manager.
- Return Lost and Found Items: Return any items found in guest rooms, hallways, or back of the house to the Housekeeping department as lost and found items.
- Clean Corridors and Service Areas: Clean all corridors and service areas, and respond to any projects or requests developed by the Housekeeping management team.
- Secure Pass Keys: Ensure that pass keys are turned in at the close of each shift or according to specific hotel guidelines.
- Restock and Organize Linen Closets: Restock the cart at the end of your shift and organize the linen closet to prepare for the next day.
- Report Exceptional Circumstances: Report any exceptional and/or unusual circumstances, such as no luggage in a stay-over room, no service needed, sleep-outs, guests smoking in rooms, etc. to the on-duty supervisor or manager.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service or similar role.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors.
- Physical Demands: Ability to bend, crouch, squat, reach, twist, stretch, push, pull, handle, finger, stand, see, and hear.
- Mental Demands: Ability to use verbal communication, have customer contact, and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
