CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

Our comprehensive projects encompass in-house surveys, design, engineering, project oversight, commissioning, and ongoing support for complex multi-disciplinary turnkey initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Construction Project Manager (CPM) plays a crucial role in the organization, overseeing the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of contracted projects.

The CPM is tasked with project assessment and strategizing, monitoring project budgets and forecasts, sourcing contractors, soliciting bids, selecting vendors, and supervising project timelines and resource allocation while maintaining effective communication with clients.

This position may require physical fitness for accessing certain project sites.

The CPM will collaborate with the project development team to identify and cultivate energy projects tailored to client needs.

In this capacity, the individual will receive training to conduct site surveys for engineering and proposal formulation.

This experience will provide insights into the various systems encountered and the efficient, timely, and budget-conscious execution of projects.

Throughout this process, you will engage with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to budget project scopes, pinpoint opportunities, and support strategic sales initiatives.

This demanding role is a key leadership position within our rapidly expanding energy conservation services firm.

In this capacity, you will frequently interact with sales and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle and maintain a visible presence with clients and their stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold safety protocols in alignment with company policies in all job functions.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and lead weekly safety briefings.
- Maintain the company's Standards of Quality and Excellence.
- Deliver projects in accordance with contractual commitments and defined scopes.
- Develop and manage project budgets.
- Create and update project schedules, participating in regular discussions with team members and stakeholders.
- Conduct weekly meetings with clients, design teams, regulatory authorities, and construction personnel.

- Ensure project compliance with the contracted scope of work and engage in preconstruction processes as necessary.

- Manage client relationships throughout procurement, construction, and post-construction phases.

- Assist in formulating and implementing quality assurance plans during design and construction phases, aligning client expectations with project goals.

- Establish and manage departmental reporting protocols, including daily documentation, project updates, and safety briefings.

- Develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), work plans, and master schedules using MS Project.
- Review and approve weekly billings to the company.
- Support the design and development of new projects, attend pre-bid meetings, and conduct site walkthroughs with contractors.
- Maintain open communication channels with clients, subcontractors, and management.
- Foster a project culture that reflects company values.
- Comply with the company's EEO policies and affirmative action commitments.
- Adhere to all company procedures.
- Travel nationwide as required for extended-duration projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree with a minimum of five years of experience in mechanical design, construction, installation, project management, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely on projects.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 70%).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, CAMP, or a desire to obtain certification.
- OSHA 30, EM 385 USACE certifications.
- Plumbing and mechanical skills, with experience in steam and fluid system maintenance being advantageous.
- Familiarity with piping and pressure vessel codes.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual base salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000, complemented by competitive bonus packages based on experience.
