As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care activities within our physician practice.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate patient records, including demographic details and insurance information.
2. Serve as the first point of contact for patients, delivering friendly and effective communication.
3. Manage incoming calls, directing inquiries, taking messages, and ensuring clear communication.
4. Handle patient registration, verification, and appointment scheduling, including tests and referrals.
5. Efficiently reschedule appointments that have been canceled or missed.
6. Process requests for medical records, including copying, billing, and documentation.
7. Collect co-payments and reconcile financial transactions for deposits.
8. Facilitate the retrieval of medical records for both new and returning patients.
9. Conduct audits as assigned to ensure compliance and accuracy.
10. Process medical records and correspondence through electronic means.
11. Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
12. Adhere to all compliance standards relevant to the role.
13. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Required: High School Diploma or GED. Proficiency in MS Outlook, data entry, and strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Experience:
Minimum: Six months in a relevant role.
Preferred: Familiarity with practice management systems, prior experience in a medical office, and knowledge of MS Excel.
Compensation:
