Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing maintenance services and repairs across various domains including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and machinery or vehicle servicing. This role involves the installation, upkeep, and repair of equipment and fixtures, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and rectify equipment issues across all operational areas, including forklifts, cranes, and other machinery.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to enhance equipment longevity.
  • Perform and document necessary scheduled inspections to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Execute repairs on mechanical, structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Manage the installation, removal, and relocation of equipment as required.
  • Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools and measuring devices, to complete tasks effectively.
  • Prepare schematics or follow blueprints to determine equipment placement and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Identify malfunctions in systems and components using testing equipment and hand tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Work from heights using ladders, lifts, or scaffolding to install or repair fixtures.
  • Provide management with insights regarding the safety of continued equipment operation.
  • Repair or replace fixtures and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Assemble and maintain equipment and appliances in accordance with relevant codes.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Support other maintenance personnel in various mechanical duties throughout the facility.
  • Read and interpret equipment drawings and schematics.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: 0 - 1 year in Industrial Maintenance.

Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in computer usage.

Certifications: Valid Driver's License required.
