Job Overview

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing maintenance services and repairs across various disciplines including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and equipment servicing. This role involves the installation, upkeep, and repair of machinery and fixtures, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and rectify equipment issues across all operational areas, including but not limited to forklifts, cranes, and various machinery.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Document and perform scheduled inspections as required.
  • Execute repairs on mechanical, structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Facilitate the installation, removal, and relocation of equipment as necessary.
  • Utilize a range of tools and equipment, including power tools and testing devices, to complete tasks effectively.
  • Interpret blueprints and sketches to determine equipment placement and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Identify malfunctions in systems and components using diagnostic tools and hand tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Work at heights using ladders and lifts to maintain or repair equipment.
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding the safe operation of equipment.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to repair or replace fixtures and equipment.
  • Construct and fabricate parts according to specifications using hand tools.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Support other maintenance personnel in various tasks throughout the facility.
  • Read and comprehend equipment schematics and drawings.
