Job Summary

The Human Resources Assistant position at Interlocal Association is designed to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of HR tasks, including hiring, payroll, and employee records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter, maintain, and process payroll information, including employee data, time worked, and benefits.
  • Assist with the hiring process, including job postings, candidate interviews, and onboarding.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling and maintaining files.
  • Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training.
  • Provide customer service and answer questions from applicants and employees.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in HR-related field preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in payroll or HR preferred.
Skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of MS Office.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to lift 15 pounds at times.
