Human Resources Assistant

Pay Range $15.36hr - $20hr
- ssists with day-to-day operations of the HR department.
- ssists in recruiting, screening, interviewing, and performing background checks and referring qualified hourly applicants.
- ssists in planning, organizing, and presenting new employees orientation programs.
- ssists with daily administrative functions as required in the HR department, including data entry, filing, reporting, updating plant postings, file maintenance, etc.
- Works with Human Resources to promote employee involvement throughout the plant.
- ssists in making job offers to hourly candidates.
- ssists with preparation of employee activities related to employee engagement such as special events, employee outings, etc.
- ssists in coordination and tracking of necessary training for employees.
- Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Human Resources Manager/ HR Supervisor.
- Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately.
- Receiving and sorting daily mail.
- Helps monitor and participate in safety and 5S for the plant.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required.
- Requirements:
- ssociate degree or three to five years related experience and/or training PC proficient.
- 1-3 years experience in a similar position.
- 3 +years in a similar position experience preferred.
- Recent college Associate /Bach with HR degree will be considered in place of experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
- Must be computer literate and familiar with appropriate software programs with ability to create visual aids for communication purposes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
