Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Director to oversee the maintenance and operation of our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable condition, and will oversee the maintenance of the interior and exterior of the building and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance of the facility, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment
  • Ensure compliance with established safety and infection control policies and procedures
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program
  • Coordinate maintenance services with other departments
  • Oversee the Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry Departments
  • Plan and coordinate all cleaning, floor care, room set-up, hazardous waste/trash/recycle removal, and furniture move activities
  • Maintain communication with fire, building, and Life Safety Inspectors
  • Order equipment and supplies for facility maintenance as necessary
  • Maintain proper records of equipment repairs, purchases, and other expenditures
  • Serve on facility safety committee and provide reports on maintenance activities
  • Respond to and be available for all facility emergency calls
Requirements
  • Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, low and high voltage/electrical breakers, updated location of panels, and plumbing systems
  • Must be knowledgeable of building codes, EPA Certification, and blueprint interpretation
  • Must be knowledgeable of life safety regulations, preferably in a healthcare environment, in accordance with the AHCA Standards and National Fire Protection Act (NFPA)
  • Training in environmental control and operation of laundry equipment practices and procedures
  • Must speak and understand English
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and the internet
  • Past experience with and proficiency with computerized property management systems preferred
