YWCA Racial Justice Commitment:

YWCA Southern Arizona aligns with our national network to implement the YWCA USA Racial Justice Continuum Strategy. This initiative employs key strategies to achieve YWCA's primary goal of establishing a cohesive racial justice framework that ensures mission fidelity. In collaboration with consultants, staff, and board members, we are enhancing our capacity, outcomes, and objectives.

These objectives include advancing towards becoming an anti-racist, inclusive organization that implements deliberate strategies to eliminate barriers to access, participation, and success for those historically or currently marginalized. We are actively transforming organizational policies and practices to promote the involvement and success of those who have been excluded or marginalized.

YWCA is dedicated to Racial Justice in every facet of our organization. Racial Justice requires us to learn from the past and move intentionally towards intersectional solutions. We commit to reviewing and revising policies and procedures while co-creating a culture of inclusion characterized by shared values of Transparency, Accountability, Respect, Growth, and Allyship.

We strive to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment for all volunteers, partners, staff, contractors, and board members. We aim to maintain a diverse Board of Directors and build relationships with a broad spectrum of partner organizations as we work towards a world free from injustice, where all individuals can thrive.
