Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County. The successful candidate will provide administrative support in a high-volume work environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills to provide exemplary service, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly staff interpreter assignments for Superior, Juvenile, and Justice Courts, and interpretation and/or translation services requested by other court divisions.
Schedule per diem interpreters from the roster as needed.
Monitor daily changes in interpreter requests and assign coverage as needed.
Utilize electronic means for communication and scheduling.
Track complaints and quality concerns; report concerns to management.
Accept translation requests from Court divisions and ensure documents are assigned for translation into Spanish and other languages as specified.
Communicate with internal and external customers through various in-person or electronic means to coordinate submission of case-related documents that the interpreters need to prepare for their assignments.
Maintain and operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, desktop computers, tablets, calculators, and paper shredders.
Order and maintain office supplies and materials as necessary.
Schedule interpreters from a roster to cover requests for various spoken languages as well as ASL (American Sign Language) and CART (Computer Assisted Realtime Transcription).
Answer questions from judges, the legal community, court management, and employees about language access or refer to the appropriate party.
Requirements
A High School diploma or equivalent GED, and four years of administrative/clerical experience involving the preparation and processing of legal documents, or providing legal clerical support in a court setting, or any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education approved by Human Resources.
Must have a valid Arizona driver's license at the time of appointment.

Education Reimbursement Program
The program will provide up to $5,250 per calendar year towards the cost of tuition, required books, registration fees, and laboratory fees. The Employee's lifetime maximum benefit would be for reimbursement of one Bachelor's degree and one Master's degree. Full-time employees of government organizations may be able to receive student loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
