About the Beaumont Facility

Beaumont, Texas, is a vibrant community with a rich history in the oil industry, located in the Gulf Coast region of the United States. The ExxonMobil Beaumont complex, established in 1903, has evolved into an integrated petrochemical facility that plays a crucial role in the local economy. With over 5,500 employees, the complex includes a refinery, chemical plant, and lubricant blending and packaging plant, contributing significantly to the economic landscape of southeast Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute job functions adhering to the highest safety standards, implementing company safety protocols and reporting all incidents and discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain pressure transmitters, motor-operated valves (MOVs), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and other control systems/components.
  • Diagnose and maintain communication equipment and components.
  • Accurately and promptly complete required documentation (e.g., foreign line crossings).
  • Utilize loop diagrams and specification sheets for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control devices.
  • Interpret pipeline alignment drawings, electrical schematics, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Supervise contractors to ensure the maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for all tasks.
  • Lead safety meetings to promote a culture of safety.
  • Perform various mathematical calculations related to over/short reconciliation.
  • Identify unusual operating conditions and initiate necessary emergency response procedures.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic.
  • Ability to plan daily work activities in line with established company and regulatory procedures.
  • Effective communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Strong organizational skills (documentation, work area management, etc.).
  • Proficient in operating hand tools and other pipeline equipment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of emergency response protocols and DOT motor carrier regulations.
  • Willingness to participate in required training programs.
  • Able to work collaboratively in small team settings.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors, under diverse weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving skills.
  • Availability to respond to callouts as required by the position.
Preferred Experience

  • Three years of relevant work experience or an associate degree.
