Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Execute job responsibilities adhering to the highest safety protocols, including the reporting of all incidents and irregularities.
- Diagnose and maintain pressure transmitters, motor-operated valves (MOVs), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and other control systems/components.
- Diagnose and maintain communication devices and components.
- Accurately and promptly complete necessary documentation (e.g., foreign line crossings).
- Utilize loop diagrams and specification sheets for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control devices.
- Interpret pipeline alignment drawings, site electrical schematics, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Supervise contractors responsible for maintaining electrical infrastructure.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for all tasks.
- Lead safety discussions and meetings.
- Conduct various mathematical calculations related to over/short reconciliations.
- Identify unusual operational conditions and initiate appropriate emergency response protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven ability to uphold a consistent safe work ethic.
- Capability to organize daily work activities in line with established company and regulatory standards.
- Effective communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong organizational skills (documentation, workspace management, etc.).
- Proficient in operating hand tools and other pipeline equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Understanding of emergency response protocols and Department of Transportation (DOT) motor carrier regulations.
- Willingness to participate in required training programs.
- Able to work collaboratively in small team settings.
- Flexibility to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors, under diverse weather conditions.
- Possession of safe driving skills and a valid driver's license.
- Availability to respond to callouts as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or an associate degree.
