The Role:

The Lead Custodial Supervisor is tasked with managing work teams and/or designated areas, ensuring that all tasks are executed in accordance with Servicon's quality benchmarks and the client's specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates the onboarding and training of new team members on topics such as safety protocols, company policies and procedures, proper cleaning techniques, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensures strict adherence to Servicon and client policies and procedures, with work performance grounded in integrity, professionalism, respect, responsiveness, and urgency.
  • Conducts inspections of assigned work areas during and after task completion, confirming that all activities comply with site-specific protocols and the client's scope of work, including daily, weekly, and monthly special requests.
  • Verifies that all restrooms, clean rooms, and other designated areas with log sheets are completed to established quality standards and initialed by the responsible associate.
  • Promotes a culture of safety among team members, ensuring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all tasks.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in executing all custodial duties in line with Servicon's cleaning protocols.
  • Assists supervisors in motivating team members, fostering a positive work atmosphere, and reporting issues to the appropriate management team.
  • Supports supervisors in addressing custodial challenges, periodically reviewing work schedules, and recommending adjustments for efficient and cost-effective staff utilization, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensures the availability and distribution of supplies for easy access by team members, maintains equipment in good working condition, and ensures timely reporting and repair of any issues.
  • Assists in inventory management, distribution, and monitoring of janitorial cleaning materials to promote efficient and cost-effective usage.

May require driving a company vehicle for supply pick-up/delivery, performing assigned duties, and commuting to various job sites.

Qualifications for Success:
  • Minimum of 2 years of custodial experience in a supervisory role or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities.

Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Certification: May require specialized training in Cleanroom, Electro Static Discharge (ESD), and other specialty service protocols, along with certification in specialized equipment.

Work Environment: The work environment may vary significantly based on the client's industry, ranging from heavy industrial settings (such as aerospace, factories, refineries) to office complexes. The role involves long periods of walking, standing, sitting, and lifting, with weather conditions varying by geography and season.
