The Role:
The Lead Custodial Supervisor is tasked with overseeing assigned work teams and areas, ensuring that all tasks are executed to our quality standards and in accordance with client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members on safety protocols, company policies, proper cleaning techniques, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure strict adherence to company and client policies, with work performance grounded in integrity, professionalism, respect, responsiveness, and urgency.
- Conduct inspections of assigned areas during and after completion of work, verifying compliance with site-specific procedures and client expectations.
- Confirm that all cleaning logs for restrooms, clean rooms, and other areas are accurately completed and initialed by the responsible associate.
- Promote a culture of safety among team members, ensuring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all tasks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all custodial duties following established cleaning protocols.
- Support supervisors in motivating staff, fostering a positive work environment, and addressing issues with the appropriate management team.
- Assist in resolving custodial challenges, regularly reviewing work schedules and suggesting adjustments for optimal staff efficiency and resource utilization.
- Ensure availability and accessibility of supplies for team members, maintain equipment in good working condition, and report any necessary repairs promptly.
- Help manage inventory and distribution of cleaning materials to promote efficient and cost-effective usage.
Additional Responsibilities:
May require driving a company vehicle for supply pick-up/delivery and commuting to various job sites.
Qualifications for Success:
- Minimum of two years of custodial experience in a leadership capacity or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills.
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Certifications:
May require specialized training in Cleanroom, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), and other specific service protocols, along with certification in specialized equipment.
Work Environment:
Work conditions will vary significantly based on client operations, ranging from heavy industrial settings (such as aerospace, factories, refineries) to office environments. The role may involve extended periods of walking, standing, sitting, and lifting, with weather conditions changing according to geography and season.
