This position is well-suited for an individual with a robust foundation in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar discipline, possessing extensive experience in IT/OT, networking, and automation within a manufacturing context. The role requires a diverse skill set that encompasses both practical technical abilities and the capacity to oversee intricate projects, collaborate with suppliers, and support various network and control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure: Design, program, troubleshoot, and enhance network systems, firewalls, data networks, HMIs, historian servers, and PLCs.
  • PLC Assistance: Provide support in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, particularly with Rockwell ControlLogix, Compact Logix, and Wonderware systems.
  • Wonderware Maintenance: Manage and resolve issues with Wonderware systems, including InTouch and Historian.
  • Data Oversight: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize process data storage, plant networks, and backup systems.
  • Web Services Enhancement: Support and improve process web services such as Downtime and operator portals.
  • Documentation Development: Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including standards, configurations, and diagrams.
  • Infrastructure Support: Assist in the development of new control systems and cloud infrastructure for advanced process management.
  • Data Backup Management: Execute and maintain essential data, systems, and program backups.
  • System Efficiency: Collaborate with teams to enhance control systems for safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Project Coordination: Manage control programs, coordinate resources, and oversee project scope and documentation.
  • Vendor Coordination: Supervise the commissioning of systems and communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and documentation.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with relevant experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years in IT/OT, networking, electrical, instrumentation, and system implementation, ideally in a heavy industry setting.
  • Certifications: CCST, CAP, and certifications in networking, security, Microsoft, and Cisco are advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of process control, network protocols, Windows, Cisco, Checkpoint, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Aveva InTouch, RSLogix, Kepware, VMware, and traditional programming languages such as Python, R, C, C++, and Java.
