Key Responsibilities:


Act as the primary expert and advisor for Automation and Electrical components in capital expenditure projects at various levels.

Offer critical insights into implementation strategies, supply chain dynamics, compliance with standards, and project commissioning processes.


Build and maintain partnerships between our facilities and approved service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish guidelines and procedures that enhance standardization and optimize project execution.


Evaluate regional challenges and assess potential risks at sites that may impact operational returns due to existing electrical and automation conditions.


Identify areas for enhancement and develop project proposals aimed at improving Automation and Electrical systems with a clear focus on return on investment (ROI).

Work closely with IT departments to advance site connectivity infrastructure, supporting our initiatives in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

Essential Experience and Skills:

Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Business

OR equivalent experience and certifications in Process Control, Electrical Engineering, or IT/OT Architecture.

Professional Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in industrial operations, particularly in aggregate or quarry settings.

Experience in mining environments with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Technical Skills:


Comprehensive understanding of control system principles, including distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and human-machine interfaces (HMI).


Proficient in programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block, with a preference for familiarity with multiple control systems.

Knowledgeable in operational technology (OT) network design and cybersecurity measures, including configurations for switches and firewalls.

Experience with medium voltage electrical switchgear and adherence to electrical safety practices.

Interpersonal Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Exceptional customer service skills, both internally and externally.

Effective communication skills across diverse teams, from technical staff to management.

Willingness to work extended hours as necessary to meet project deadlines.

Travel Requirements:


Preparedness to travel across North America on short notice, primarily supporting operations in various regions.
