Position Summary:
The Director of Cyber Security plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization's information assets. This leadership position entails managing the information security program to uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data. The Director will lead a team of cybersecurity experts, formulate security policies, and deploy strategies to defend against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Cyber Operations:
    Oversee the North American cyber security team, fostering a collaborative environment with stakeholders.
  • Cyber Security Strategy:
    Develop and implement a regional cyber uplift roadmap, ensuring tracking of benefits and outcomes.
  • Annual Assurance Program:
    Deliver the yearly cyber assurance program and engage with various business lines.
  • Reporting:
    Provide regular updates to the Chief Information Security Officer regarding cyber initiatives.

Advisory Role:
Consult with regional business units, legal teams, and IT departments on security requirements aligned with organizational policies and the current threat landscape.

Risk Management:
Administer regional cyber security policies, conduct risk assessments, manage treatment actions, and oversee security awareness training.

Compliance Monitoring:
Continuously monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and IT security requirements through audits and project delivery checkpoints.

Continuous Improvement:
Engage in industry forums and committees to enhance professional development and contribute to the field.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior cybersecurity position, with a successful track record in managing security programs.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a comparable role or environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Information Security principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Experience in risk management and cloud security is preferred.
