Position Summary:
The Information Security Officer (ISO) plays a critical role in protecting the integrity of an organization’s information and IT systems. This position involves crafting and enforcing security protocols, monitoring for potential threats, and ensuring adherence to relevant regulations. The ISO collaborates with various departments, including Cyber Security, Digital Technology, and Corporate Risk, to establish and maintain effective security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development:
    Formulate and sustain comprehensive information security policies to safeguard the organization’s data and technological infrastructure, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory mandates.
  • Risk Assessment:
    Conduct thorough evaluations to identify vulnerabilities within information systems and devise strategies to mitigate risks while managing security incidents.
  • Compliance Management:

  • Security Operations:

  • Vendor Security Management:

    Assist in shaping the organization’s overall IT security strategy, staying informed about emerging threats and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in information security or IT security roles, typically spanning 5-10 years.
  • Leadership experience is often preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with security risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented work ethic.
  • Participation in cybersecurity organizations and networks is beneficial.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in cloud security is a plus.
