Position Summary

We are on the lookout for a skilled Information Security Specialist II to enhance our dynamic Security Team. This role is crucial in identifying security risks, aligning with business objectives, and implementing security measures to mitigate risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrate expertise by deploying solutions and upholding security policies and standards.
- Serve as a lead within the Security Engineering team, collaborating with various departments to implement solutions and act as the primary contact for information security issues.
- Utilize SIEMs and other threat intelligence tools to assess the current threat landscape.
- Employ security products and methodologies to continuously monitor for vulnerabilities, threats, alerts, and attacks.
- Evaluate the necessity for immediate or future actions to safeguard information system assets and respond accordingly.
- Collaborate with Network and Server Administrators to achieve desired outcomes and provide reports on findings, status, and recommendations to the Security Engineering Manager.
- Partner with IT resources and business leaders to assist in the research, development, configuration, upgrade, and implementation of one or two IT Security platforms and lead related projects.
- Work closely with cloud architects, developers, and other IT teams to ensure a secure cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct standard security investigations using data analysis and forensic techniques; play a vital role in the Incident Response (IR) team, focusing on standardizing, enhancing, and maintaining IR processes.
- Collaborate with Business Owners and IT Application Development and Infrastructure stakeholders to support the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide security systems, including physical security, authentication mechanisms, cryptography, role-based security, host and backend systems, DMZs, firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS systems, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and disaster recovery.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

- A minimum of three years of experience in Security administration/management within an Enterprise environment.
- At least five years of experience with SIEM, SASE, EDR, Email Security, and/or security framework implementation; experience with other end-user, network, and host-based security solutions is also required.
- A minimum of five years in the administration or monitoring of security platforms within an enterprise environment, including secure web gateways, endpoint detection and response, remote access technologies, endpoint protection methodologies, secure configuration of network equipment, Microsoft Windows Active Directory, web application development, infrastructure, and database security.
- Preferred certifications include GCIH, OSCP, CPP, CISSP, GCIA, or CCSP.
- Strong ability to research, evaluate, and recommend security technologies and solutions; define and document internal controls and procedures, and conduct routine security audits and risk assessments.
