Payroll Manager Position

The Payroll Manager Position at the YMCA of Greater Rochester is responsible for managing all payroll functions for all employees. Under the direction of the SVP of Human Resources, this role oversees the administration of all payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and wage/hour laws.
The Payroll Manager is accountable for maintaining system integrity by acting as Systems Administrator for payroll and HRIS systems. This includes reviewing and processing requests for manual payroll checks, managing reconciliation of benefit bills on a monthly basis, and related G/L accounts.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. A minimum of three years' payroll experience, including working with payroll/HRIS systems, is required. At least three years' experience in a supervisory role is also necessary.
The Payroll Manager will work closely with the Finance/Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll reporting. This role will also partner with Human Resources to ensure benefit data is accurate and processed in a timely manner.
The salary for this position is $66,000-$72,000 annually, plus generous benefits.
