Job Description:

At Butler/Till, we're seeking an expert Talent Operations Specialist to join our team in Rochester, NY. As a key member of our HR team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless payroll and talent operations across the organization.

About the Role:

As a Talent Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for accurately processing payroll transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. You'll collaborate closely with the Talent Team, Benefits, Finance, and other stakeholders to guarantee efficient payroll and talent operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Operations: Process payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner, including salary, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. Validate timesheets, attendance records, and other relevant documents for accuracy.
  • Payroll Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll records, analyze payroll data, and conduct regular audits prior to final submission. Act as the primary point of contact and coordinate with various departments to obtain necessary payroll information.
  • Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, develop resources and materials to educate employees, and promote self-service to ensure company payroll policies are being adhered to.
  • Payroll Compliance: Proactively monitor and interpret evolving payroll regulations, ensuring full compliance while mitigating risks and maintaining operational integrity.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal partners to ensure seamless coordination between payroll, talent, benefits, and finance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years proven experience in payroll processing.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, exceptional analytical, mathematical, and calculation skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and ability to work independently and on tight deadlines.
  • Software Knowledge: Knowledge of different types of HCM/payroll software.
Benefits:

Butler/Till offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $63,000 in Rochester, NY. Our total compensation package includes an annual bonus, an ESOP (employee stock ownership plan), and a full benefits package, including 100% paid parental leave.
