Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Engineer to join our team at Schuler North America. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our products within assigned regions, leading the business development and selling process for Schuler service products, and building and maintaining relationships with assigned customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote Schuler's products within assigned regions and lead the business development and selling process for Schuler service products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with assigned customers, managing the information interface between Schuler and customer and market.
  • Collect and direct market intelligence, identify opportunities, and evaluate and process RFQ's.
  • Lead the RFQ response and quotation process, coordinating all relevant technical and commercial aspects.
  • Support the clarification and negotiation process, completing quotations and participating in subsequent clarification and negotiations.
  • Drive the sales process to maximize overall chances of success and achievement of order intake targets.
  • Directly responsible for sales and business development for Schuler service products with assigned customer accounts.
  • Coordinate sales and business development activities with the Director of Modernizations, the SIC team, and other Schuler affiliates and divisions as needed.
  • Support other Schuler departments and team members with customer/market information exchange as necessary.
  • Act as primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts in the assigned region.
  • Participate in and/or lead technology and product presentations in cooperation with relevant departments, affiliates, and divisions for customers.
  • Attend trade shows and events, working closely with Marketing to develop customer and market-specific workshops and training events.
  • Provide market intelligence to Schuler organization, including market developments and trends, customer requirements and information, and activities of competitors.
  • Use and regularly update applicable software and reporting files, including SAP, CRM, project tracking files, customer satisfaction surveys, and social media in line with company regulations and requirements.
  • Lead contract review and internal handover of orders, continuing to engage in the purchase order change process as required.
  • Maintain strict observance of and compliance with Schuler's company policy.
  • Participate with the Director of Service Sales to prepare annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and three (3) to five (5) years of related sales and product experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the stamping industry with assigned region.
  • Capital equipment service sales, preferably in the metal stamping industry.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, sales, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Highly organized and time-conscious.
  • Possess strong analytical aptitude.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic business environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to use judgment and make decisions independently.
  • Teamwork-oriented to resolve problems and achieve goals.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English with advanced reading and writing skills.
