Financial Assistant Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented accounting assistant to assist in maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will be exposed to basic accounting procedures and principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Responsibilities- Basic data entry tasks include posting and reviewing daily deposits.
- Balancing multiple checking accounts and monitoring cash positioning.
- Reconciling and verifying bank accounts monthly, addressing inquiries from banks.
- Assisting in preparing monthly and quarterly financials, providing outside auditors with assistance gathering documents.
- Posting and reviewing incoming bills for accuracy, processing payments for invoices associated with accounts payable, ensuring payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Monitoring and managing business credit card expenses.
- Creating and monitoring departmental budgets.
- Managing the check escheatment process.
- Degree in accounting and/or 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, preferred.
- Strict attention to detail, highly organized, and efficient.
- Able to collaborate in a team as well as excel independently.
- Must be able to grasp new concepts quickly and adapt to change.
- Eager to learn.
- Competitive Salary: $40,000 - $55,000.
