Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist Level I to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Position patients and select technical factors and equipment to obtain optimal quality scans.
- Operate portable ultrasound equipment to perform procedures as requested throughout the hospital.
- Assist physicians with recommendations for obtaining optimal studies by suggesting technical factors for procedures.
- Deliver patient care and maintain department standards of continued quality improvement.
- Prepare ultrasound rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Utilize appropriate phone etiquette and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Transport patients when indicated to meet customer needs.
- Document department records, including inventories of supplies and patient statistics.
- ARDMS Registry eligible.
- CPR Certification.
- Ability to adjust to flexible hours and work odd hours, including late shifts and on-call.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform lifting activities related to patients.
- Exposed to radiation and able to operate portable equipment.
