Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Technician to join our team at Earth Networks. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, integrating, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing our environmental monitoring products and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain environmental monitoring systems to ensure optimal performance and data accuracy.
  • Install and integrate new equipment, including sensors, dataloggers, and telemetry systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues with environmental monitoring systems, including RF, electronics, and poor hardware configurations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure work objectives are met and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Apply data integrity standards to ensure accurate and consistent data entry and reporting.
  • Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and reflects accurate project status.
  • Develop and execute territory service plans to ensure optimal network operations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of technical degree or 1-3 years of experience as an installer of mounting hardware, sensors, cables, masts, antennas, satellite dishes, or network equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for data related to meteorology, environmental monitoring, flood warning, wildfire, and public safety.
  • Proven operation and proper use of common hand and machine tools, as well as digital multi-meters, oscilloscope, and other electrical diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of manual or automated environmental sensors and dataloggers used in hydrology, water quality, or meteorology.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks, rapidly analyze and troubleshoot issues using sound methodologies, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Experience:

Background in meteorology is a plus.

Compensation Range:

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $24.03 - $26.44 per hour.
