Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by physicians
  • Administer medical gases, aerosol therapy, and obtain and analyze blood specimens
  • Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment
  • Provide mechanical ventilation, maintain artificial airways, and assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Monitor equipment and patient response to therapy
  • Complete documentation of in-patient and departmental records
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care
  • NBRC CRT certification
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • One year of recent clinical experience preferred
