Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic procedures to assess patients' respiratory function.
Requirements
  • Possession of a current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license and national accreditation as a Certified Respiratory Therapist, plus one year of licensed respiratory therapy work experience.
  • Or - Possession of a current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license and national accreditation as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
