Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center, part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

As a Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

About the Role:
  • Assess and treat patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by physicians
  • Administer medical gases, aerosol therapy, and obtain and analyze blood specimens
  • Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment
  • Provide mechanical ventilation, maintain artificial airways, and assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Provide patient education and monitor equipment and patient response to therapy
Responsibilities:
  • Complete documentation of in-patient and departmental records
  • Clean equipment and maintain safety and infection control practices
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care
