Job Summary and Qualifications

Respiratory Therapy is a critical component of patient care, requiring a broad knowledge of the pathophysiology of the cardiopulmonary system and complex procedures to diagnose and treat patients. As a Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, administer medical gas, and provide patient education.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician
  • Administer medical gas, aerosol therapy, and obtain and analyze blood specimens
  • Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, provide mechanical ventilation, and maintain artificial airways
  • Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, provide patient education, and monitor equipment and patient response to therapy
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care
  • NBRC CRT certification
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS preferred upon hire
  • ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire
  • One year of recent clinical experience preferred
