Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in the assessment and treatment of patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by physicians
  • Administer medical gases, aerosol therapy, and obtain and analyze blood specimens
  • Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, provide mechanical ventilation, and maintain artificial airways
  • Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, provide patient education, and monitor equipment and patient response to therapy
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care
  • NBRC CRT certification
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS certification preferred upon hire
  • ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire
  • One year of recent clinical experience preferred
