GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Under supervision, executes fundamental and routine electronic and mechanical assembly tasks on components, printed circuit boards, and subassemblies following established protocols using visual aids and verbal and/or written instructions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Position and align components in specified relationships to each other, utilizing hand or power tools to secure parts.
2. Mount assembled components onto panels or circuit boards.
3. Route wiring and cabling through assemblies to terminals according to color codes, soldering or wrapping wire around terminals to ensure electrical connectivity.
4. Conduct intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding, wiring, stamping, and color coding parts and assemblies.
5. Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, specifications, work orders, or reports to ascertain material requirements or assembly instructions.
6. Must be present at the assigned worksite during designated hours 100% of the time; excluding PTO, FML/STD/LTD.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Clean components using appropriate cleaning solutions and/or air hoses.
2. Mark and tag components to facilitate stock inventory tracking and identification.
3. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

None

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as mandated by government standards.
2. Proficient interaction with peers and supervisors.
3. Appropriate interaction with the public when necessary.
4. Adherence to workplace regulations.
5. Capability to read and interpret assembly drawings and component identifications.
6. Dexterity to work with minute parts and demonstrate finger agility.
7. Ability to form and bend wires to specified requirements.
8. Proficient use of stripping tools, wire cutters, soldering equipment, degreasers, and other relevant tools.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of IPC Solder Training and Certification within the initial 3 weeks of employment with a defect rate of 5% or less on the solder certification board.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Production environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
2. Capability to perform repetitive motions (including arm-hand steadiness, finger dexterity, and manual dexterity for small parts assembly).
3. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
4. 20/20 vision and color vision with or without corrective lenses.
