Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Slutty Vegan, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing fast casual restaurants and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the General Manager in ensuring operational excellence by drilling into the smallest of details and focusing on achieving strategic short and long-term business goals.
- Manage day-to-day staff management, mentorship, and P&L management to elevate and refine the customer service experience and internal culture.
- Support the General Manager in recruitment and development of Red Shirts & Crew members, enforcing operating systems and onboarding and setting up training schedules with new staff.
- Partner with the General Manager to assess business on a weekly/daily basis and provide reports on the economic and operational state of the business, triggering the development of action plans to support operational improvements and focus on optimizing profit, minimizing margins, and promoting exceptional experiences for staff and customers.
- Manage and implement effective policies to ensure overall Restaurant cleanliness meets State Health Code Standards, with the expectation of always passing a Grade A.
- 2+ years management experience in a fast casual restaurant concept.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
- Proficiency in technology software and systems, i.e., POS and Microsoft Office 365.
- Assist in proper inventory management, effective system of ordering, and maintaining pars.
- Support the General Manager in the recruitment and development of Red Shirts & Crew members, enforcing operating systems and onboarding and setting up training schedules with new staff.
- Assist in the creation of weekly staff schedules in a timely, accurate, and fair manner.
- Set the standards of service unique to the restaurant, consistently working to improve the delivery of service, implementing all systems to ensure smooth operation.
- Partner with the General Manager to assess business on a weekly/daily basis and provide reports on the economic and operational state of the business, triggering the development of action plans to support operational improvements and focus on optimizing profit, minimizing margins, and promoting exceptional experiences for staff and customers.
- Manage and implement effective policies to ensure overall Restaurant cleanliness meets State Health Code Standards, with the expectation of always passing a Grade A.
- Ability to support and teach crew members how to perform day-to-day responsibilities, i.e., POS operation, operating grill & sandwich maker, taking customer orders, etc., as needed.
- Effective communication during pre-shift standups of information relating to daily operations.
- Effective assessment, appraisals, performance management, and discipline of all staff.
- Ongoing development of crew members to ensure growth, knowledge, and professionalism.
- Ensure customer relations for all guests are executed to the level of service synonymous with our mission and resolve customer complaints & correspondence.
- An experienced understanding of regulated food safety, risk prevention, fire prevention, and emergency procedures policies.
- The AGM role does occasionally have physical requirements.
- Must be ServSafe certified.
- Knowledge of Restaurant 365, Jolt, Seven Shifts, Toast, and Dolce.
