Job Summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our Fire Safety & Emergency Management Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fire prevention and emergency response plans to minimize the risk of fires and other emergencies.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders, EHS, PDC, and Facilities to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct training and education programs for staff on fire safety and emergency response procedures.
  • Investigate and report on fire incidents and other emergencies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local fire departments and emergency services to ensure effective communication and response.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in fire science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire/rescue, emergency management, emergency medical services, public safety, and law enforcement.
  • Fire Fighter Certification (Pro-Board), EMT Certification, Certified Fire Officer, Certified Fire Inspector, Certified Fire Investigator & Certified Fire Instructor preferred.
