Job Summary

Trotter Workforce is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Installation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure the highest level of safety and compliance with safety and building codes.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, test, and repair fire alarm systems to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety and building codes.
  • Work with a team to ensure that all fire alarms installed are functioning properly and meet safety and building code requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • Experience installing and maintaining fire alarm systems, including knowledge of fire alarm control panels and devices.
  • Understanding of UL, NFPA, IBC, and local fire codes to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to identify system requirements.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Certifications in fire alarm installation, such as NICET or equivalent, are preferred.
