Position Overview:

The role involves providing engineering assistance to the E-3 DRAGON Training System Support Center (TSSC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the design, planning, installation, and support of computer systems, network hardware, software applications, and peripherals.
  • Set up and configure operating systems, applications, and hardware at both desktop and server levels.
  • Apply patches and upgrades to operational platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to computer systems, including hardware, software, and network equipment.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and maintenance of systems.
  • Manage system security protocols and conduct security testing.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and communication skills, capable of presenting technical information clearly to both management and clients.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility to work overtime and on various shifts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient with hardware/software platforms, including MS Windows and RedHat.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word).
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and related services (DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.).
  • Experience in supporting a network of multiple client systems (Windows, Linux, VMware).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server technologies, including Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
  • Experience with endpoint management and reporting using Enterprise Antivirus Management technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Competence in creating and adhering to processes and procedures.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent training/experience.
  • 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with training and simulation systems is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to apply logical and scientific reasoning to diverse problems.

Security Responsibilities:

Compliance with all company security and data protection policies is mandatory. Employees must handle all information and materials appropriately and maintain confidentiality as required.

  • Eligibility for DoD Personal Security Clearance is required.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting.
  • Capable of ascending into simulator devices and accessing hard-to-reach areas.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds, with occasional movement of items over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to sit and operate a personal computer for extended periods.
  • Limited travel may be necessary.
