Job Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond promptly to guest repair requests and effectively communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
2. Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and lubricated.
3. Perform visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery to maintain operational efficiency.
4. Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
5. Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as necessary.
6. Communicate daily activities and any arising issues to other shifts using established communication protocols.

Technical Skills:
Demonstrate basic knowledge or the ability to learn in the following areas:
- Air conditioning and refrigeration
- Electrical and mechanical systems
- Plumbing and pneumatic/electronic controls
- Carpentry and finishing skills
- Kitchen equipment maintenance
- Energy conservation practices

Maintenance Tasks:
- Conduct surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs.
- Test and troubleshoot various equipment, including plumbing and electrical components.
- Program televisions and manage general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system for safety during maintenance work.
- Perform landscaping repairs and maintain external landscaping systems.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to navigate stairs, ramps, and ladders.
- Reach overhead and perform bending, twisting, and stooping movements.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in general maintenance or hotel engineering is preferred.
License: Valid Driver's License required.
