The Mechanical Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in assisting the Equipment Manager with the upkeep and servicing of machinery utilized within the club's facilities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical faults in various machines employed for golf course upkeep
  • Relay maintenance or repair requirements to the Equipment Manager
  • Keep meticulous records of equipment stock, acquisitions, conditions, repair expenses, and scheduled maintenance
  • Service and fine-tune engines and cutting components on mowing machinery
  • Execute daily setups and calibrations of mowing equipment
  • Ensure maintenance machinery is adequately fueled, lubricated, and routinely inspected
  • Perform operational assessments and urgent repairs on equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety within the maintenance area
  • Execute assigned tasks with diligence
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in utilizing equipment repair tools
  • Understanding of gasoline and diesel engine maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints for repairs
  • Capacity to lift heavy items (over 50 pounds)
  • Experience in varying weather conditions
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Preferred: One-year certificate from a college or technical institution
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and authorization to work in the US
