Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and rectify application errors and issues, liaising with the software provider as needed.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to resolve end-user challenges with business applications.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of business applications, ensuring thorough documentation and configuration.
- Facilitate software deployments, upgrades, and continuous support for end-users.
- Conduct application testing in a controlled environment with end-users when necessary.
- Provide on-call assistance as directed by management.
- Update and maintain technical manuals and user procedures.
- Test and verify fixes to ensure all related issues are comprehensively addressed.
- Carry out preventative maintenance, including the installation of updates, patches, and hotfixes.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in application support, with a focus on ERP applications such as accounting, inventory, and pricing, preferably within the retail sector. A total of 5 years of IT experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Ability to develop and maintain standard operating procedures and document support workflows.
- Familiarity with the PDI Enterprise application suite is advantageous.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-demand, fast-paced setting.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and general programming is beneficial.
- Proficient in writing and modifying SQL queries and monitoring Windows desktop and server environments.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a customer service focus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under supervision.
- Willingness to learn new skills as required.
