Job Title: IT Specialist - Per Diem

At Veterans Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Specialist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to our computer systems, desktops, and peripherals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware and software to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Provide end-user training and assistance to staff members.
  • Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Support and maintain computer systems, desktops, peripherals, cell phones, and other computing equipment.
  • Assist with junior-level network administration and perform onboarding of new employees.
  • Respond to technical questions by phone, email, and in-person requests.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of IT support experience in a Windows/Active Directory environment with 50+ users.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required for occasional travel to multiple office locations.
  • Relevant technical experience in setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktop/laptop hardware and software, WiFi-enabled devices, and business-related desktop/web apps.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows 10 Professional operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory.
  • Experience providing support via remote tools and excellent problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MAC OS experience.
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) in a LAN and WAN setting.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices (firewalls, Endpoint Detection & Response software, SPAM filtering).
  • Relevant certifications (A+, Network+, Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Support Technician).
