We are seeking a proficient AWS Administrator to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our AWS infrastructure, ensuring seamless performance and reliability. The AWS Administrator will work closely with our IT Operations and Applications Development teams, delivering technical support, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements to our cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee current AWS accounts, establish new accounts, and manage security and access control settings at the account level.
  • Design, configure, deploy, and maintain various AWS services, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, RDS databases, Lambda functions, and VPCs.
  • Safeguard AWS resources by applying necessary security protocols, managing IAM policies, and monitoring for potential security threats.
  • Collaborate with the Network Operations team to configure and manage AWS networking elements, such as VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and VPN connections.
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Set up monitoring tools and services to assess the performance and health of relevant resources, along with logging for system and application analysis.
  • Utilize AWS automation tools, including CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI, to streamline resource deployment and management tasks.
  • Establish backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and services against potential data loss and minimize the risk of unexpected outages.
  • Monitor and optimize resource utilization to ensure efficient use and cost control.
  • Provide secondary administration and support for additional Florida Realtors environments as required.
  • Stay informed about the latest AWS technologies and trends, making recommendations for process improvements and optimizations.
Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Demonstrated experience as an AWS Administrator or in a similar cloud administration capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud automation tools, such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom Workplace, and project management software.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Git, Docker, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with Clumio for backup and recovery of AWS assets.
  • Prior experience with Windows Server OS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS.
