Job Summary

The Pastry Chef is responsible for overseeing the production of all baked goods for the food court, restaurants, and special events at Three Rivers Casino & Hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to determine weekly baked good needs and develop recipes to meet those needs.
  • Manage the inventory of ingredients and supplies to ensure sufficient product availability.
  • Ensure that all food is baked, handled, and stored properly to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Develop and implement new and additional items based on ingredient availability, seasons, and promotions.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Stay informed on new and efficient baking tools and equipment and recommend products to the Executive Chef.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and bakery area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist in baking product inventory and ordering as needed.
  • Comply with all health and personal hygiene policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years combined experience in production bread baking and dessert items or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing, or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random, and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
