Job Title: Food Server

Join our team as a Food Server at Belterra Casino Resort, where you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests and ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Work closely with kitchen personnel to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and be able to answer guests' questions and provide recommendations.
  • Accurately account for and collect payment for all orders through the POS system.
  • Perform food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, and cold dishes, as well as brewing coffee and performing table-side cooking.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests, and prepare or serve specialty dishes as required.
  • Monitor tables for cleanliness and ensure a high level of service quality.
  • Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
  • Responsible for all tables in assigned section, in their entirety.
  • Deliver beverage and food orders to guests in a timely manner.
  • Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
  • Assist with overall dining service and ensure dining and serving areas are set up and maintained according to standard.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, hours of operations, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant.
  • Limit problems related to guests' excessive drinking by providing responsible alcohol service and applying any training from the responsible alcohol certification course.
  • Carry trays of food and beverages, then serve them to guests.
  • Participate in liquor glassware removal, ensuring compliance with all Indiana Gaming Commission regulations.
  • Abide by all State, State Gaming, Federal, and Corporate liquor Regulations, as well as Health Department regulations and EcoSure standards regarding food handling, storage, and cleanliness of work environment.
  • Consistent attendance at company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled.
  • Complete opening, closing, and other side duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Pass all tests given, including training, to retain the knowledge needed to be an effective server.
  • Maintain a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance.
  • Possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and possess the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  • Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.
  • Perform all duties as assigned by management.
  • Golf area servers must be able to safely drive a beverage cart around the course, make sales, and change while taking responsibility for the cash.
  • Food Server may work in the capacity of a Beverage Server, Busperson, Barback, Bartender, Room Service Server, Pool Attendant, or Host/Cashier and all combinations thereof.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Knowledge of wine service.
  • Knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Indiana ABC Permit (Liquor License) required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
