Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the RMS Companies team, responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our rental buildings. This role involves identifying and performing regular maintenance activities, responding to resident requests, and managing work schedules as directed by the Maintenance Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute maintenance requests assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent
  • Conduct building walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents
  • Prioritize maintenance requests to address building-critical issues and customer requests promptly
  • Perform checklist walkthroughs and verify services rendered by subcontractors
  • Accurately record and report personal time
  • Respond to maintenance requests as directed by the Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager when the Maintenance Superintendent is unavailable
  • Communicate work requested and executed to the Maintenance Superintendent

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in building maintenance, with knowledge of all trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • This is a full-time position with no overtime, requiring work on Monday through Saturday and rotation for on-call emergencies
