Clinical Skills Lead for Veterinary Medicine

Clemson University's College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Clinical Skills Lead to develop and implement the DVM Clinical Skills curriculum. This full-time faculty position involves teaching and service with opportunities for research and scholarship.
Key Responsibilities- Create and deliver the clinical skills unit curriculum.
- Develop assessment strategies in alignment with the overall competency-based curriculum.
- Collaborate with other unit leads to ensure integration of knowledge and skills across years and units.
- Organize and train clinical skills faculty to deliver content and provide assessments.
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Teaching operations in regard to facilities, animal use and management of clinical skills staff.
- Assist in management of the Simulation Skills Lab and the use of the Model Shop to optimize the learner experience.
- Aid in procurement of state-of-the-art teaching equipment for all clinical skills lab spaces.
- Manage a multi-million-dollar equipment budget.
- Serve on CVM and campus committees as appointed or elected.
- DVM or equivalent.
- 3-plus years of education experience.
- Experience and a history of excellence in clinical skills education.
- Board certification or residency training in a veterinary specialty recognized by the ABVS.
