About the Position

Clemson University's College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Anatomy Faculty member to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering the first year of the DVM curriculum, focusing on teaching and service with opportunities for research and scholarship.

Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver a multi-modal veterinary anatomy curriculum for the Healthy Animal course series, aligning with the overall competency-based curriculum.
  • Aid in the development of anatomy lab policies and procedures.
  • Develop assessment strategies to ensure students achieve proficiency in pre-clinical competencies.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate knowledge and skills across years and courses.
  • Actively engage in student-centered instruction, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Oversee the responsibilities and activities of the anatomy lab technical staff.
  • Ensure the anatomy lab has the necessary equipment and specimens to deliver the curriculum effectively and safely.
  • Aid in the procurement of state-of-the-art teaching equipment, specimens, and software for the anatomy curriculum.
  • Serve on CVM and campus committees as appointed or elected.
Requirements
  • DVM, PhD, or equivalent degree.
  • 3-plus years of relevant experience in veterinary medicine or education.
  • Board certification or residency training in a veterinary specialty recognized by the ABVS (ACVIM, ABVP, etc).
  • Experience and a history of excellence in teaching anatomy.
