Element Science is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Commercial Operations to lead our supply chain function within a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) environment. This strategic and tactical role will oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including Reverse Logistics, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), and Inventory Management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support the company's overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Oversee all aspects of reverse logistics, including product returns, refurbishments, recalls, and disposal.
- Develop and implement efficient processes for handling returned products to minimize costs and maximize recovery value.
- Lead the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, production planning, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance supply and demand, optimize inventory levels, and improve service levels.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and avoid stockouts.
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Implement robust quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of product quality and safety.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience in the DME industry or other highly regulated environments.
- Proven track record of successfully managing reverse logistics, S&OP, and inventory management functions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards related to medical devices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
